This bronze statue howeveer speaks to the more civilized benevolence of the Roman Empire. The soldier is seated with a scroll in his hands.
No helmet or sword by his side however the scroll indicating law and order in the form of Pax Romana. Mounted on a rouge marble plinth this statue after the antique is similar to one sculpted by the Italian sculptor Michel Ange Pollet.
